Massoxi Van-Dunem Miguel is a Senior Reservoir Engineer at Azule Energy, Angola’s largest independent oil and gas producer. Educated in the United States — Bachelor of Science, Chemical Engineering from Drexel University and Master of Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University — she has built a career spanning more than a decade and a half in Angola’s petroleum industry. She began her career at Chevron (CABGOC), progressing from Reservoir Simulation Engineer to Block 14 Strategy & Field Development Engineer. She went on to head the Production & Reservoir Department at Somoil and served as Expert Reservoir Engineer at Sinopec before joining Azule Energy. Her expertise covers reservoir management, simulation, field development, production engineering, and non-operated joint venture (NOJV) operations. As a Founding Member of PetroNauka’s Technical Council, she leads the technical review and accreditation of content in reservoir engineering.

A senior petroleum engineer whose career spans three of the industry’s major operators across three continents. He began with Chevron — including exposure in the United States — before a long tenure at BP that took him across both Angola and Iraq. At BP Angola he served as Team Leader for Block 18 Base Management, contributing to the development of the Greater Plutónio FPSO; his BP career also placed him in Basra. He was also Subsurface Coordinator for Reservoir Management on the OBO Block 15 at Azule Energy, where he is now extending his expertise as senior forecasting engineer. His international footprint — Angola, Iraq and the United States — gives him a rare, globally tested perspective on deepwater reservoir management.

A reservoir-management specialist with around fourteen years building one of the most solid technical trajectories in the country, with particular focus on waterflood management. After training at Middle East Technical University and Heriot-Watt University, he built the first simulation models on Block 18 and spent over a decade at BP, leading reservoir management of Block 31 — one of Angola’s most demanding deepwater assets. There he ran intervention and infill campaigns at the PSVM field, integrated 4D seismic and ensemble-based modelling into reference simulation studies, and achieved Level 3 reserves certification. He now leads reservoir management for Block 15/06 at Azule Energy, applying the same rigour to reservoir simulation, performance and data science.

A senior well engineer whose career is a study in Angolan operational excellence. Across nearly fifteen years at Transocean, she reactivated rigs such as the Trident-8 and led the Transocean Honor to recognition by Chevron as the best rig in the concession. At Eni she led non-operated assets and joint ventures — including the Block 15 restart, with production gains exceeding 70,000 barrels per day, and oversight of non-operated assets in Blocks 15 and 17. She now holds a senior role at Azule Energy. Alongside this technical command of asset management, drilling operations and partnership governance, she is recognised for her consistent work developing and promoting Angolan national talent.

Heritier Wandofusu is a geologist at Acrep – Acrep Exploração Petrolífera SA, one of the leading companies in Angola’s oil and gas sector. Based in Angola, he has built his career in the industry after starting out as a Junior Geologist, demonstrating steady professional growth aligned with the sector’s technical demands. He maintains an academic connection to Agostinho Neto University, where he developed his training and laid the foundations of his scientific path. With a continually expanding professional network, Heritier stands out as a young talent with strong credentials in the Angolan geoscience landscape.
