Mine Safety Standards in Southern Angola: A Comparative Analysis

This study compares mine safety performance across operations in southern Angola's diamond and industrial mineral sector, benchmarked against regional African standards. Using incident data from 2018–2025 and structured interviews with safety officers, we identify the primary drivers of safety performance and evaluate the effectiveness of existing regulatory enforcement mechanisms.
